Butter Buds recently received a “Superior” rating from the American Institute of Baking (AIB) International Food Safety auditors, the highest level of AIB’s Good Manufacturing Practices audit. In addition to hired third party auditing, our modern facility is inspected annually by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture. The Food and Drug Administration, as well as the United States Department of Agriculture Dairy division.
BBFI employs the use of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). HACCP was originally conceived for food that astronauts would take into space and is now a modern food safety concept adopted world wide. Our HACCP team is led by the Director of Quality Assurance, who has successfully completed HACCP Certification with the International HACCP Alliance.
BBFI provides a Certificate of Analysis summarizing physical and microbiological results with every lot purchased.
Strict procedures apply to sanitary conditions both in-house and during transportation.
